Historic Riverlands is dedicated to the education and preservation of historical African American contributions. Our tours will enlighten and enthrall you as you experience the contributions of African Americans in the River Parishes and throughout the world.

The SoulRiver Tour will take you on a soulful journey through America’s musical past from slavery through modern day.
The Historical Church Tour tells the story of strong, faith, persistence and human kindness in the midst of Jim Crow laws in the American South, that resulted in the historical first black catholic church and congregation in the river parishes.
The Slave Revolt Reenactment takes you back in time, to the fight for freedom of enslaved people in the south, which began a few miles up-river.
